Social Studies Remote Learning Activities. You will need to spend enough
time on these activities each week to meet your goal. Activities with
'(Repeatable)' can be done more than once.

I am going to be entering a
weekly RL score based on information I receive from
students. My general idea is that
students will set a goal for how many minutes they are
going to spend working on social studies each week.
The generic goal is 75 minutes per week for this class but students can raise or
lower it to what the family determines is
appropriate. At the
end of each week, students will send their parent/guardian
and me one
email with:
- a list of social studies
things they did that week
- the amount of time they spent on each activity
- all their written work
- information about whether they reached their goal
If the
student meets their goal, I will put a
‘1’ in the gradebook.
If the
student does not meet their goal, but
includes an explanation for the reasons
in their weekly email, I will put a ‘1’ in the
gradebook.
If the
student does not provide reasons they did not meet their goal or they do not
send an email, I will put a
‘0’ in the gradebook.
Students are welcome to get in touch about zeroes
– that is actually what I hope will happen so it can get sorted out and
the grade can be changed to a ‘1’.
Students are welcome to
copy & paste these questions & tables in their email as a
format. If they
start an email on Monday and do all the work in it, it will be ready for
totaling and sending at the end of the week.
